I stumbled on my daughter's 2012 MacBook Pro that she had been told (years ago) was beyond repair. I powered it up and a little research led me to guess that the hard drive was dead or not being seen. So I sent a note with that assumption to Rossman Repair Group. They said it could be the hard drive or it could be the drive cable which is a known issue with this model - $100 to repair if that's what it is. I gambled and paid $13 to ship it. For retail customers, Rossman will diagnose, outline the problem, and provide an estimate for free. They confirmed it was the cable and they needed the OS password to further test the operating system to make sure that it boots (loads to your desktop). I did not have the password so I asked if they could use the password reset? They replied "We wouldn't be able to reset the password, but we can wipe it and reinstall a new OS with a new password if you'd like. The hard drive cable is indeed bad on this device, with a new cable the hard drive does show up."I got it back (free return shipping), since the hard drive now shows up I was able to reset the PW and it looks to be running perfectly! Total repair cost $113.read more

I had an iPhone 8 that was totally dead, wouldn't recognize being plugged into a computer or power outlet. The biggest problem was that it hadn't been backed up in a long time and there 5000+ photos and videos of our kids were potentially lost.I sent it in to RRG and got a call from Kevin (who was the tech who was actually going to be handling my repair). He was great, forthcoming with the plan, and very polite.Bottom line? Got my phone back with all the data still intact (apps, contacts, photos, videos, settings) working 100%, AND got a flash drive with the photos and videos on it.Thanks guys!

Wow, let me say, I am so glad Geek Squad led me to Rossmann Repair Group. Went to Apple initially who told me it would be $500 to repair my mac, that I would most likely lose all my data and they also would not tell me what was wrong (I get it, there are legal reasons, whatever). I sent it here, they gave me a free estimate and actually told me what was wrong, (transparency for the win!), AND WAY cheaper by the way!! Low and behold, I received my mac within two days of it being repaired and I did not lose ANY DATA!! It is as good as new! If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. The Apple Genius wanted twice the price and 10 weeks to fix my Macbook Pro. Rossman received it on a Thursday, repaired and shipped it back out next day. I happily paid a nominal expediting fee for a quick turn. GO HERE, no scams & good advice (Spoke with Kevin)! Had an issue with my hard drive, went to a place called Mikes Repair Shop in Chelsea, they were trying to charge me way more. Got a second option at Rossmann, come to find out that the issue was as simple as getting a different cord. Saved me $170 which was what Mikes Repair place was trying to charge + 2-3 day process to get it fixed. Anyways recommend coming to Rossmann 100%!read more

When all others failed, Rossmann did not!!! In January of this year a snow storm knocked out the power at my house and a very important external hard drive of mine was affected. My computer could tell that there was a drive connected but would not read it. All it was doing was making a clicking noise. I made an appointment to a chain electronics and appliance store. They took one look at it, plugged it in, and then handed it back to me telling me that there was nothing to be done to fix it. I made another appointment, this time for a local computer repair company. They had my drive for two weeks but with no luck. They then sent the drive off to a higher repair company that they work with. This company attempted to work on my hard drive for about a month. Eventually, after replacing parts and trying all that they could, they returned it to me, stating that it was lost and could not be recovered. I had given up on the drive. This drive contained all of my photography business back to 2016. Haven't lost so much, I was about to shut down my small business. My wife posted a message to some friends asking if anyone could recommend anything for me. Someone suggested Rossmann. I reached out to them and sent my drive in, not expecting anything but more disappointment. The crew of Rossmann were constantly in touch with me letting me know what was going on with my drive. After some time, they called me to tell me that it would be another month or so because they had to fix whatever the prior company had tried to do. My drive was with them for a few months that I had actually forgotten about it. One rough day at work and just getting home, I received a call from a repair company that was in my phone contacts. I figured it was some construction company wanting to offer me some home remodeling deal. When the guy on the other end told me that they had recovered my hard drive it had completely made my day so much better. I had written it off as a complete loss and Rossmann had saved it all. They set up a time with me to get online and remote connect with them to be able to see my drive in their system and review my files. I was very happy with what I was seeing. I consulted Rossmann Repair Group for data recovery services. A new IT client was recently referred to me, because his main computer crashed and his business database went offline as a result. It turned out that the computer crashed because its main storage, a 500 GB Solid State Hybrid Drive, failed. That part was easy - replace it with a new 1 TB SSD and reinstall Windows along with the software he uses. I sent in an external hard drive that bricked on me. Its a drive I plug in once a year, dump phone videos, photos, and then back on the shelf til next year. This year I went to free up some space and found the drive wouldn't respond. It had the first 10 years of my daughter growing up and I was freaking out. I had almost accepted they were gone until a friend at work mentioned RRG. I crossed my fingers and sent in the drive, not expecting good news (or some astronomical fee that would force me to put a price on those memories). I had a nearly 12 year old MacBook pro with the dreaded kernel panics. I contacted Rossman Repair Group after finding them on YouTube. I shipped the computer by following their instructions and it was received unharmed. Once the computer was received, I found them communicative, professional, and knowledgeable. They replaced the defective part, cleaned the computer and then I added a new battery and they even repaired my DVD drive.The computer was returned to me (the whole process took about 5 business days) and to say fantastic would be an understatement. I didn't realize that I had build in responses to anticipate computer shutdowns. I kept trying and trying to get it to crash, but the computer has run 48 hours straight without fail!
