ROSSMANN GROUP SAVED MY 2010 MACBOOK PRO! My 2010 MacBook Pro was on it's last leg. It had gotten to a point where it would shut down & restart 3 times within 10 mins of use. I had replaced the memory & upgraded my hard drive, neither of which fixed the incessant kernel panics (shutdown-restarts). In my desperation to save my really old computer, I searched the internet for weeks & eventually found Rossmann on YouTube. I watched a lot of their videos & decided to ship my computer to them in hopes that they could fix it by replacing the crap capacitor*. I shipped my MacBook out to Rossmann on a Monday & it arrived in their NYC shop two days later. Rossmann immediately fixed it upon arrival (same day!) & invoiced me. I didn't check my email until Thursday, which is when I paid their invoice & they shipped the computer back out to me. I received my MacBook that following Monday, but had I checked my email on Wednesday, I would have received it on Saturday, just 5 days after shipping it out for repair. The turnaround was incredibly fast & my computer has been running like new with daily use since I got it back a few weeks ago. I'm so thankful I found Rossmann Group's informative YouTube videos about MacBook Pro's kernel panics. The repair was less than 1/10 what a new MacBook Pro would have cost, literally saving me well over $2,000. I'll never take my MacBook to Apple or another shop for repair again, local or not. We are forever Rossmann customers! *NOTE: Even though it's a very affordable & quick repair, the MacBook capacitor issue isn't well-known or something that Apple advertises. Our local computer repair shops weren't even aware of it! I was basically told by 2 local shops that my MacBook wasn't repairable & I needed to get a new computer. Meanwhile, Rossmann fixed it in a matter of minutes! If you're up in the air on whether or not shipping your computer is worth it, I'm here to tell you that it is 100% worth shipping to Rossmann. I used their mail-in service and followed their simple instructions on how to send it it. First fill out a form, then you get a ticket number and write it down and put it in the box you ship the device in. Few days later from delivery I got an email indicating diagnosis was beginning. 2 days later I got a full quote and was fairly priced, and was accurate on what their website had stated it possibly could total up to be. 2 days later, it's completed and shipped out Rather spending 600+ for a new board from Apple, with no possibility of data recovery, I got to keep the same board, retain my data, and was done cheaper in the same amount of time it would have taken to do their mail in service which is what the Apple store would have done. Amazing how I went from a MacBook that was completely dead, no signs of power going through tthe board, to a smooth running as good as new Mac. Highly recommend their services and his YouTube channel.

I was getting an unmountable boot volume error that was just unrecoverable from. It's an old computer that had served me well. It had been SO consistent over the years I had gotten lazy with backups and was nowhere near current. I was given a quote after diagnosis for recovery of data place on a new external drive. I told them specifically what folders to aim for and as it turned out the were able to recover the entire root structure in the format I requested so I just need to copy my old document, video, picture and music files onto a new computer I purchased as a replacement once I got the bad news of its passing. What rocks is that I now have my files back. AND a new external hard drive to use as my backup and a reminder to never forget that lesson. (Can you say automatic back ups?) Thanks Kevin and crew. Oh... and they said it was easier than expected and reduced the quote to reflect the time they saved on the easier recovery.Lastly, they were kind, listened, timely for this kind if work which is very time intensive and had a very conscious "no contact" in and out process that is SO appreciated at this time. I traveled two and a half hours each way to take my laptop in to Rossmann Repair Group because I was so impressed with the skill and expertise displayed in Louis Rossmann's YouTube channel (in addition to its hilariousness and occasionally brilliant wit and wisdom). It was important to me to go to a repair store that I had trust and confidence in.Louis and his colleagues were extraordinarily diligent, professional, thorough, transparent and went far above and beyond what was necessary and greatly exceeded my expectations. This was literally the best customer service experience I can remember by far. I would recommend Rossmann Repair Group to anyone without reservations. Louis and his colleagues are also among the most uncompromisingly ethical professionals I've ever met - as another reviewer pointed out, they literally invest huge amounts of uncompensated time to educate customers on how systematically faulty MacBooks are despite having a business model reliant on people continuing to buy them.

My laptop was ruined from water leakage in my bag and I was so worried that all of my data would be gone. I went to Apple and they said to buy a completely new laptop, which is costly. I had an iPhone 8 that was totally dead, wouldn't recognize being plugged into a computer or power outlet. The biggest problem was that it hadn't been backed up in a long time and there 5000+ photos and videos of our kids were potentially lost.I sent it in to RRG and got a call from Kevin (who was the tech who was actually going to be handling my repair). He was great, forthcoming with the plan, and very polite.
Bottom line? Got my phone back with all the data still intact (apps, contacts, photos, videos, settings) working 100%, AND got a flash drive with the photos and videos on it.

I walked in with my dead Macbook Pro Tuesday (randomly wouldn't turn on or charge) and Louis and his team were so helpful! At first they opened it up and said that the logic board needed to be replaced but were willing to see if the current one could be salvaged first. I left and came back and in an hour my Macbook was good as new!!!! Apple told me it would be better to just buy a whole new Macbook, so glad I came here first! My 2017 WD My Passport external hard drive wasn't functioning and made a beeping noise! We went to a nearby PC and data recovery store that couldn't recover the data and they said it was too difficult and they had issues outsourcing because the task is too difficult!! I was in a panic because ONLY THAT HARD DRIVE HAVE MY UPCOMING SEASON PHOTOSHOOT (aka: I'm screwed at work because we need those photos for our FALL 21 campaigns, ads, social media, website - you cannot imagine!!!) So when I went to pick up my broken hard drive, I quietly (more like whispered to the guy in the front so he won't get in trouble naming a competitor) of who can fix this?The guy gave me one name and it was Rossman Group. I actually asked for more options just for backup but he firmly said Rossman Group.So we went to Chelsea and they immediately provided details of the diagnostics and I paid for the deposit. I followed up in a couple days and... I poured MY HEART OUT TO... SOMONE AT ROSSMAN (sorry I forgot your name). I was desperate and needed assurance that my LIFE's work is able to be recovered!! Of course, nothing is guaranteed but I'm thankful for the free 15 min therapy session with a staff.A few hours later, they told me that it's ready for pick up... I was like, "come again???!!!!" Place was great! I went in with a clearly injured Mac Book and they told me point blank it wasnt worth fixing, the Mac was opened and diagnosed properly. I recieved my Mac more in tact than when I took itin. 10 minutes was how long I waited to get my answer. I also wasn't charged a diagnosis fee. This was my 2nd opinion. The first place said i need to pay $130 just for them to look at it. Well worth my 30 minute drive into Manhattan. Thanks!!!

I dropped my MacBook laptop and was unable to get it to turn it back on. After chatting with apple repair service I was told it was likely an internal hard drive issue and it likely would be a pricey fix. I decided to bring it in to Rossmann to be looked at and they found & fixed the issue within literally 30 seconds.
