My MacBook Pro (A1990) bricked and would not turn back on. I had years of family photos and important documents that were not backup up. Panicking, I first tried bringing my laptop to the local UBreakIFix. After weeks of delays and false promises (including losing my laptop for a few days), UBreakIFix told me that the logic board was damaged and I would need to pay for a replacement logic board, screen, and keyboard. In addition, my data would be unrecoverable. They were also insistent that I sell them my non-functioning MacBook, and I had to argue for days to get them to return my laptop so I could seek out other options. After doing my own research into logic board repairs for my specific model, I found out about Rossmann Repair and learned that it was indeed possible to fix my MacBook and recover my data. In fact, Louis had videos of my model's specific logic board being repaired on his YouTube channel. Unfortunately, they had moved out of the NYC area and I was hesitant to mail my laptop out due to my own skepticism. So, I searched for local specialists in Connecticut and found ThinqMac. My first conversation with one of their employees immediately made me feel that I was in good hands. The technicians ran some tests on my computer and eventually determined that, while they could not fix my MacBook in house, they knew about a place that could: Rossmann Repair. ThinqMac sent my laptop to Austin for me and dealt with all the communication with Rossmann. In the end, after being told by UBreakIFix and Apple that my data was unrecoverable and my computer would never turn on again, the folks at Rossmann Repair proved them wrong. My computer has been as good as new for the last 4 months and I was able to recover all of my data. While my experience with Rossmann Repair was indirect, I cannot recommend them enough. They are the best, they fixed my computer, which I thought it was a lost case! I spilled coffee on my MacBook Pro, it was a lot of coffee! I took it to an apple approved repair shop and they told me that it was going to cost me more than a new computer, and that I should consider it a total loss. At this point I had no warranty, I did not buy a protection plan, and the computer was only 1 year old. At least I needed to recover my data, and this apple approved place told me it was going to be $2,100. I decided to ship my laptop to the Rossmann Repair Group, and they did an amazing job communicating with me about any updates. They estimated to repair it for $700, and then told me it was only going to cost me $425. I was very happy. They shipped it back for free, and now I have my computer working "almost perfectly" (some keys are a little sticky, and the mouse pad a little sensible), but I have all my data, which I immediately saved into an external hard drive. I had an iPhone 8 that was totally dead, wouldn't recognize being plugged into a computer or power outlet. The biggest problem was that it hadn't been backed up in a long time and there 5000+ photos and videos of our kids were potentially lost.I sent it in to RRG and got a call from Kevin (who was the tech who was actually going to be handling my repair). He was great, forthcoming with the plan, and very polite.
Bottom line? Got my phone back with all the data still intact (apps, contacts, photos, videos, settings) working 100%, AND got a flash drive with the photos and videos on it.

This is literally the first review I've ever written, and these guys absolutely deserve it. I had a hard drive fail after it was connected to a bad power supply and fried itself. I basically lost 6+ months of work and was devastated. I sent the drive Rossmann Repair and they managed to recover all of the data I lost, and sent it to me on a new 1tb external drive. Also important to note: when I sent the drive in the company was in the process of moving to a new store location. Because it took a couple weeks extra for them to get to my drive, they waived the cost of the 1tb external my data was copied onto which was SO nice of them. I am so incredibly thankful, and would highly suggest going through Rossmann Repair if you need an affordable alternative to something like Drive Savers. Again, thanks guys. You rock.

Hard drive came back perfectly. I think it took a bit long for Rossman group to get the motherboard, but that may be partially my fault due to buying a board and then realizing it was incompatible. Everything was excellent, only complaint was that I had to scratch off a sticker, but it's literally nothing to worry about. Still kinda wondering if the store is an advertisement for the youtube channel or if the youtube channel is an advertisement for the store. Either way 5/5

I like his YouTube channel, sent my iPad in for screen repair, and am very happy with his repair service. My only complaint is the USPS delivery who has started leaving boxes at the curb by my driveway. As an Amazon seller I have shifted to UPS, a little more expensive but better delivery drivers. The Stamps.com rate is better than I could get going direct with UPS, but price vs USPS is lower when shipping East Coast, to East Coast, it is a little more on West Coast. I sent in an external hard drive that bricked on me. Its a drive I plug in once a year, dump phone videos, photos, and then back on the shelf til next year. This year I went to free up some space and found the drive wouldn't respond. It had the first 10 years of my daughter growing up and I was freaking out. I had almost accepted they were gone until a friend at work mentioned RRG. I crossed my fingers and sent in the drive, not expecting good news (or some astronomical fee that would force me to put a price on those memories).
