You might have to leave your Macbook, but we will give you an assessment of what the liquid spill damaged, and what would need to be fixed, at no charge! If your Macbook is too far damaged to be worth repairing, you can take it back at no cost. If you are local, come to our store. Macbook spill damage is serious because it corrodes sensitive electronic components, but it’s not unfixable. At Apple, you will hear quotes of $750 to $1600 to repair Macbook water damage. Their claim will be that they must replace the entire board with an overpriced tier 3 or tier 4 repair. The reality is that they are not interested in getting their hands dirty fixing the totally reusable parts you already have: it’s easier for them to gouge your wallet by replacing everything.
As soon as you get liquid in your Macbook you should stop using it. Turning it on will just make it worse as this allows electricity to flow through shorted wet components causing it to look like the board in the picture below. Even when the damage is this extensive we can repair it, but it is best to minimize damage so we have a higher likelihood of fixing your board in a reasonable timeframe.

Giving a price without seeing the device, assessing its condition is impossible. Everyone feels better having some basic idea of what things may cost, so for a basic idea, see below. Do realize the + means price can go up! Please do note that drives that have been opened before are rarely if ever recoverable by us: mention this prior to sending it in as we rarely work on pre-worked on drives.

I went to Apple and they quoted me $1400 and an additional 500$ for data recovery regardless of whether or not it was needed. Naturally, my things don't even get damaged in the same way other laptops do and my logic board was done for. Still in shock!! Rossmann Repair Group is AMAZING! Was planning to toss out our MacBook Air after a small water spill rendered it useless -- would have been more than it originally cost to repair through Apple. But, seriously, in the space of ONE WEEK, this company had it evaluated, quoted, repaired AND shipped back to me, all for about 20% of what Apple planned to charge. I love this place SO much. I unfortunately spilled about 16oz of water across my keyboard (with protector) on my MacBook Pro 2015, and did everything I could immediately to try and save it- wiped it down, turned it off, turned it upside down and brought it to be cleaned soon as the computer repair store across the street from me was open the next day. The technician there said it was really promising and would call me in about an hour. He held onto my computer for nearly a week and said it was not worth the repair. That he could try to replace the logic board- but that would be $600+ and may need more parts. I called an Apple approved repair shop in a neighboring town and they said they couldn't repair it because the logic board for this model wasn't even available to them and to just buy a refurbished or used one online for $600-$800. I did some research and found Rossmann Repair Group and decided to give them a try after talking with someone over the phone to get an estimate and confirmation that they would accept mail-ins and also not charge if they couldn't fix it which seemed totally worth it compared to the other options I found. I followed the form online, sent it in, and received a timely quote for $250 ($75 less than estimated over the phone!) They did the repairs I authorized and I now have my repaired computer back after 1 week! I could not recommend enough. You can even pay extra for an even speedier repair and shipping if needed. These guys are the BEST...capable, honest, fast and the best prices in Austin! I spilled Diet Coke all over my Macbook Air keyboard and thought that was the kiss of death. They were able to repair it and replace all of the damaged parts for less than 1/5 the price that Apple or one of the other "Official Apple Repair Centers" was going to charge. Now I know why you are having these many stars :)Preface : A day before Christmas, unfortunately I spilled hot tea on my macbook pro and the panic started. Having a complete newbee to apple damage, I ended up at Apple Care where I got an estimate of 1200 bucks. It was sufficient to make me faint.I lost complete hopes and felt like stranded. I searched a lot on google and found multiple sites where they claimed that they will repair it in days time. But somehow reading all stars for Rossmann, I decided to go there. All the vacations and the workload they had, it took a while to get the laptop back as it was on day 1 but they nailed Apple Care in all ways.Service : Just as heard, got it repaired in exact timeframe as it was committed (couple of days in advance actually). Amazing service and clear communication on everything. I was told to call after 3 weeks (vacations and work load as mentioned) so I decided not to call in between and they themselves called me before that time.Quality : Seems just like day 1 when I first saw my laptop.Price : I had to pay only 40% of what I was told at Apple Care.. Nailed it completely.Advise : Don't be idiot like me to spill on the liquid on your laptop. If you somehow achieve to be an idiot, land up here.Recommended for sure :)

I was referred to Rossman by several friends/family. I splashed a small amount of water on my MacBook Air keyboard and track pad and powered it down quickly after. I was unable to turn the computer back on after waiting 48 hrs. Apple Genius Bar informed me I would have to pay 800 to replace the logic board. I stopped into Rossman and they had my computer up and running in 15 minutes with a quick change of wire that was damaged due to the minimal water damage. I'm in disbelief that I'm writing this from my MacBook which I had written off as totaled after a major coffee spill. Took it to a local place that didn't fix motherboards but gave me the tip for Rossman Group. Felt like a long shot mailing my laptop to NYC, but wow such a professional process at a fair price, and if they can't fix it they don't charge you. But they FIXED it. The experience here is shockingly easy and transparent. My 2015 Macbook Air was soaked in dirty bleach water (leaked onto the open laptop from a hole right above in the ceiling, caused by asshat housemates upstairs who decided to clean their hole-ridden wooden floors by dumping a bunch of bleach on it--can't make this stuff up)... laptop only worked while connected to a power source, and when it was turned on, it made a helluva sound from the fan. I brought it into the Apple store. The genius told me that the logicboard was affected and it would cost 775+ to ship out for repair. The same man then told me to check out Rossmann Repair Group across town... I followed his suggestion. Walked into the store, laptop was opened up immediately. I was told logicboard is fine but battery and trackpad/track cable need to be replaced. They gave me the price ($275). I said ok! They made the repair. I was out of there in 15 minutes with a fully functioning laptop.I love this place.read more

World-class Mac repair service. If you want it done right and fast, this is the shop. Rossmann Repair had my damaged Macbook Pro screen replaced and ready for pick up less than six hours after drop off. Twice was saved by Rossmann Repair. First it was liquid damaged MacBook Air, now Iphone SE 2020 who conveniently, after 1 year manufacturer warranty ran out, threw vertical stripes over the screen. Very reasonable repair pricing. Both times used mail in option, since parking nearby is “mission impossible”.

Phenomenal repair shop! My moms Macbook pro 16 with coffee spills was pretty much done for, we were heart broken so much money down the drain, luckily my brother stumbled upon this shop online. They live in Chicago, mind you they took a hige leap of faith to mail it in. Long srory short they fixed it at a fraction of what it would cost -600 bucks! For coffee spills they usually switch mother boards ect and you get a bill similar to the price of the computer. They are super transparent about the process. In todays age very few places you can blindly trust, and why i would highly recommend Rossmans to any one around the country, they literally saved my mom from a $2800 loss, so happy! Months down the line im trying to swap out my hard drive in my 21.5 imac and finding the right tape is tricky. Ive heard heaps of horror story of screens falling off in the middle of the night... Any hoot i called them up and asked them for the info, they not only ready helped me over the phone, they also went ahead and gave me there supplier for the adhesive im looking for!
