You might have to leave your Macbook, but we will give you an assessment of what the liquid spill damaged, and what would need to be fixed, at no charge! If your Macbook is too far damaged to be worth repairing, you can take it back at no cost. If you are local, come to our store. Macbook spill damage is serious because it corrodes sensitive electronic components, but it’s not unfixable. At Apple, you will hear quotes of $750 to $1600 to repair Macbook water damage. Their claim will be that they must replace the entire board with an overpriced tier 3 or tier 4 repair. The reality is that they are not interested in getting their hands dirty fixing the totally reusable parts you already have: it’s easier for them to gouge your wallet by replacing everything.
As soon as you get liquid in your Macbook you should stop using it. Turning it on will just make it worse as this allows electricity to flow through shorted wet components causing it to look like the board in the picture below. Even when the damage is this extensive we can repair it, but it is best to minimize damage so we have a higher likelihood of fixing your board in a reasonable timeframe.

Giving a price without seeing the device, assessing its condition is impossible. Everyone feels better having some basic idea of what things may cost, so for a basic idea, see below. Do realize the + means price can go up! Please do note that drives that have been opened before are rarely if ever recoverable by us: mention this prior to sending it in as we rarely work on pre-worked on drives.

What can I say? These guys are the best at what they do. I brought in a 2019 Macbook Pro that suffered from an entire beer bottle spill. At the end of all the repairs, a month later of getting it back, it kept panicking and shutting off with high cpu usage tasks. They then refunded me the repair costs since it was not able to be saved. I ended up also selling it to them for parts and now happy with my Lenovo. Phenomenal repair shop! My moms Macbook pro 16 with coffee spills was pretty much done for, we were heart broken so much money down the drain, luckily my brother stumbled upon this shop online. They live in Chicago, mind you they took a hige leap of faith to mail it in. Long srory short they fixed it at a fraction of what it would cost -600 bucks! For coffee spills they usually switch mother boards ect and you get a bill similar to the price of the computer. They are super transparent about the process. In todays age very few places you can blindly trust, and why i would highly recommend Rossmans to any one around the country, they literally saved my mom from a $2800 loss, so happy! Months down the line im trying to swap out my hard drive in my 21.5 imac and finding the right tape is tricky. Ive heard heaps of horror story of screens falling off in the middle of the night... Any hoot i called them up and asked them for the info, they not only ready helped me over the phone, they also went ahead and gave me there supplier for the adhesive im looking for! Trust the reviews. This place has great customer service, honest pricing and amazing turnaround time. Water spilled on my laptop unbeknownst to me and sat for days. It wouldn't turn on nor charge. I opened it up to find water w/ rust and corrosion and immediately made a Genius Bar appointment then scoured the internet for other solutions since I hadn't backed up my stuff, ever, and didn't want to lose anything. Found the YouTube page much like many others and got an email quote. The next day I took the hour and a half drive because the reviews seemed consistent and I didn't want to hear the bad news I knew I'd get from Apple. Got a brief diagnosis when I got there and later on that night they called and told me it would be an easy fix. Went over pricing with me every step of the way. I had to get a new keyboard, battery and something else I'm not remembering. Total repair cost w/ tax: $598.Dropped off Friday 12/04 for repairs. Picked up Monday 12/07 fixed.Highly recommend for water damage issues.read more

I never write reviews but I couldn't hold back! I am so happy with my decision to go to The Rossmann Group. I'm a college student and need my laptop for just about everything so when my MacBook wouldn't turn on after a spill on the keyboard, I went into panic mode. Before getting referred by a friend to Rossmann Group, I spoke with Apple and they were helpless on giving any repair information (besides a hefty price that was equivalent to the price of a brand new MacBook). After shipping my laptop in, Rossmann Group took 2 days to get back with an estimate and only 1 day for repair. They are fast, reasonable, and trustworthy. Rossman Repair Group saved me over $600 to repair my computer!My MacBook Pro stopped charging and I went to Apple to have it repaired. They were going to charge me a flat fee that came up to around $865 to fix whatever was wrong. Unfortunately, their “water damage indicator” was triggered and they didn’t even check to see what was wrong and instead asked for $1200 to replace the whole motherboard, which would have been almost half the price of a brand new computer and I would have lost all of my data. My boyfriend recommended I try out Rossman Repair Group before I decided to just accept paying Apple that much. He watches their repair videos on YouTube! I sent my computer in and they repaired my computer (my logic board was the issue) for $462!!! For less than half of what Apple was asking, I got my computer fixed promptly, received e-mails from a real person, and my computer works good as new!I really don’t write reviews, especially long ones, but I hope that my story and experience helps other people decide to choose this business!

I spilled liquid on my laptop a few months ago and thought I was completely out and had to buy a new Macbook. My husband showed me their YouTube channel and I was shocked. We sent my laptop in, they couldn't repair a part and had to replace it completely but they fixed my laptop 100% and it's working as if it was asleep for a few months. I am SHOCKED because I thought I would have to spend $$$$ on a new laptop which I don't have the money for. I'm in disbelief that I'm writing this from my MacBook which I had written off as totaled after a major coffee spill. I spilled a spoonful of milk and cereal on my Macbook Air and two weeks later, the wifi stops working. I walked in for a diagnosis and it turned out that replacing the wifi card twice didn't work. One of his employees told me that something was wrong with the logic board and it'd be $325. I accepted this, knowing Apple would have charged me twice the price most likely.Two days later, I get a call in the morning that my machine is ready for pickup. I get there and ask the guy how much it'd be and he told me they won't actually charge me, and instead asked for a good tip. I left $40 in the tip jar. So there you go folks. 40 bucks for what would have cost hundreds at Apple. Skip the Apple Store and take your machine to Rossmann.

Apple wanted 1650 to repair liquid related damage to my 2019 MacBook Pro. I paid 2200 and wasn't about to do that. Thankfully I found this company on YouTube and loved the owner's passion for right to repair. Their service is amazing. THANK YOU SO MUCH ROSSMANN GROUP!! Apple refused to repair ONLY the battery of my Macbook Pro 2013. They said that there was apparent liquid damage to the logic board, resulting in a total of $800 CAD of a repair. I said hell no, did some research, and sent in my laptop to Rossmann while on vacation in Boston. Sent in on Aug 21, received on Sep 3. Perfect working condition and all my problems are solved. The laptop also included a whole checklist of tests that they ran, something Apple would never do for me. I highly recommend repairing through Rossmann!
