You might have to leave your Macbook, but we will give you an assessment of what the liquid spill damaged, and what would need to be fixed, at no charge! If your Macbook is too far damaged to be worth repairing, you can take it back at no cost. If you are local, come to our store. Macbook spill damage is serious because it corrodes sensitive electronic components, but it’s not unfixable. At Apple, you will hear quotes of $750 to $1600 to repair Macbook water damage. Their claim will be that they must replace the entire board with an overpriced tier 3 or tier 4 repair. The reality is that they are not interested in getting their hands dirty fixing the totally reusable parts you already have: it’s easier for them to gouge your wallet by replacing everything.
As soon as you get liquid in your Macbook you should stop using it. Turning it on will just make it worse as this allows electricity to flow through shorted wet components causing it to look like the board in the picture below. Even when the damage is this extensive we can repair it, but it is best to minimize damage so we have a higher likelihood of fixing your board in a reasonable timeframe.

Giving a price without seeing the device, assessing its condition is impossible. Everyone feels better having some basic idea of what things may cost, so for a basic idea, see below. Do realize the + means price can go up! Please do note that drives that have been opened before are rarely if ever recoverable by us: mention this prior to sending it in as we rarely work on pre-worked on drives.

All I can say is.. WOW. I spilled water on my laptop and couldn't find anywhere that would fix it, I kept thinking I would have to pay $1000+ for data recovery (always backup your files, kids) and thankfully I found Rossmann! I mailed it in right away! They do water damage, no problem. Patrick was great and super helpful through the process and made everything smooth sailing. They also fixed my Mac within 48 hours and shipped it right back out to me. It was like all I did was shutdown the computer! Everything is here, everything is till in its place, and I didn't have to buy a new laptop OR pay for data recovery. What can I say? These guys are the best at what they do. I brought in a 2019 Macbook Pro that suffered from an entire beer bottle spill. At the end of all the repairs, a month later of getting it back, it kept panicking and shutting off with high cpu usage tasks. They then refunded me the repair costs since it was not able to be saved. I ended up also selling it to them for parts and now happy with my Lenovo. My two friends who I also referred are super happy with their services as well. They are also just finished a hard drive recovery and transferred the data to a new hard drive for me. Top notch service and fairness. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

My MacBook Air got dropped in a body of water and stopped turning on. After getting a consult from a different group, they referred me here as they didn't have the right parts to extract the data from my hard drive. Initial consult took maybe 5-10 minutes of waiting before they told me they would be able to extract the data and move it to a new location (which ended up being my new MacBook Pro) for $100. This was versus the $750 Apple was quoting me and they would need me to ship my laptop to them (no thanks). Initially told me it would take one day. The following day when I called to follow up, they mentioned it may take another day, mostly I believe because they were busy. After letting them know I needed my laptop for work they were able to accommodate me and get it done that same day. Overall, quick/easy/efficient/good price point. The only downside to their reputable nature is that they are quite busy. Fortunately for me, my issue was relatively straightforward. But for a more complex issue their turnaround time will likely be slower, so make sure you let them know your time frame and get a time quote in addition to your $$$ quote for your own planning. I sent 2 MacBook Pros for repair, he told me that one of them was repairable but no the other because of a failure that is common on that model, if he repaired the problem, it will happen again very soon. He was sincere and I like that, at least he explained why. Apple Store "Genius" did not look at it, did not open it or even try anything. Sad. The other laptop had water damage but now it runs like new. Price for the repair was really fair. I will send any Mac to them without hesitation. I would like to say thanks to Louis Rossmann and his team.

These guys are LEGIT! Don't waste your time with anyone else. I had water damage in a newer iphone and had YEARS of pics which were not backed up. I was given a cost and time estimate reflective of what was on their website. Their service exceeded the high-points of both estimates. It was definitely not a drop-in the bucket cost, but worth the service. I was notified 24 hours later that my data recovery was complete. Unfortunately, my phone was not repairable but that didn't matter much to me anyway. Great service with these guys and glad to find them locally as well. Thank you Rossmann Repair Group for your honest and timely work on my 2014 15" Macbook Pro. I want to share my story here, after dropping off my Mackbook at a local Atlanta are Apple Store to repair a suspected swollen battery. I got a follow-up phone call stating that they would not replace my battery due to water damage unless the logic board was also replaced for a price exceeding $1400. When I went to the Apple Store to retrieve my Macbook, I was also able to get their photographic "evidence" of water damage. When got home I sent the photos to Rossman Repair Group, and they stated that the yellow substance on the circuit board that was common on boards from the factory and not evidence of water damage. I then sent my computer to their facility in New York, where the Rossman facility inspected my computer and replaced the swollen battery for $200, and now my computer back in action. When I was at the Apple store retrieving my notebook I felt like I was being played into writing-off my 5 year old notebook so that I would buy a new one. I hope that other people will read this review and consider independent repair options before taking what the geniuses at the Apple store may say as fact and then and throwing their money away.

Very friendly and intuitive.I went in to see if I could repair my friend's water damaged Macbook and if they couldn't fix it, I didn't have to pay anything thing. Unfortunately, it was unsalvageable, and they held true to their word. I didn't have to pay a penny for it.Despite being unable to fix an expensive laptop that I was hoping to see come alive again, I am greatly impressed by the great customer service. The gentleman at the counter helped me quickly diagnose what the issues were, what parts were damages by the water, what had corrosion, etc.If I ever somehow end up owning a MacBook myself, I will definitely be coming to these guys should it fail on me.Keep up the good workread more

These guys are the best in the business. I sent in a MacBook for and analysis to see if my laptop was worth saving from water damage. They gave me a complete detailed report as to why it wasn't. This came in handy when I went to sell the unit for parts on eBay. I copied all the notes and used them in my description so to completely inform the buyer. I never write reviews but I couldn't hold back! I am so happy with my decision to go to The Rossmann Group. I'm a college student and need my laptop for just about everything so when my MacBook wouldn't turn on after a spill on the keyboard, I went into panic mode. Before getting referred by a friend to Rossmann Group, I spoke with Apple and they were helpless on giving any repair information (besides a hefty price that was equivalent to the price of a brand new MacBook). After shipping my laptop in, Rossmann Group took 2 days to get back with an estimate and only 1 day for repair. They are fast, reasonable, and trustworthy. I highly recommend Rossmann Group to anyone who needs device repair and am so happy to have a working laptop again!

I had spilled coffee on my MacBook Pro and I took it to a repair company near where I live. Worrying about what could be wrong, I stumbled across one of Louis' videos. I was impressed about what I had listened to, I went and picked up my computer and shipped it from Kansas. It was during the holidays and I am sure the anticipation of wanting it completed and when it actually was didn't help. However, Steve was a gem and did communicate with me when I inquired via email or by phone. I am impressed by the price of the logic board repair and their expertise. After spilling beer on my 2020 macbook pro keyboard, I mailed my computer from St. Louis to the Rossmann Repair Group. I was surprised by how quickly they were able to look at it! They replaced my sticky keyboard and shipped it back to me less than a month after I dropped it at UPS (even with the holidays!). The keyboard is working great now, and it was a huge comfort to know that there was no damage or corrosion on the more sensitive parts of my laptop. I was hesitant about shipping off my laptop to a shop in another state, but this truly was a great and easy experience. And it was definitely miles better than paying Apple $1300 for a laptop worth $650 when there wasn't even any major damage!
