MacBook Water Damage Repair - Liquid Spills & More

What can I say? These guys are the best at what they do. I brought in a 2019 Macbook Pro that suffered from an entire beer bottle spill. At the end of all the repairs, a month later of getting it back, it kept panicking and shutting off with high cpu usage tasks. They then refunded me the repair costs since it was not able to be saved. I ended up also selling it to them for parts and now happy with my Lenovo. My two friends who I also referred are super happy with their services as well. They are also just finished a hard drive recovery and transferred the data to a new hard drive for me. Top notch service and fairness. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

After being a repair person myself, sometimes i have to admit defeat, and when my 2019 MBPro died, knowing who Louis Rossmann, and being an advocate for the right to repair myself, on principal, even if I could just swap a board since my data was backed up, I went to this company. I cannot say I've been happier to use an electronics repair service. My laptop died for really no reason (no drop, no spills, just died after going into sleep) and I sent it off to the repair place, and the laptop came back working. I know they did a component-level repair, something I admit I'm not quite there yet experience wise, and am very impressed with the level of communication, the service, and the repair they did was astounding. Since I felt lazy, also asked if they would install the iFixit battery I had sitting around I hadn't gotten done yet (turns out, I'm also going through cancer treatments while working my normal IT Job @ a major printer company, so very little energy) and the price was more than reasonable to recover what I consider a valuable laptop for me. My battery was installed (Normally a PITA to do) and the laptop was done quickly even though I didn't pay for rush processing. Quicker than I expected. I cannot recommend this place enough. And i'm an IT Pro myself with experience doing electronics and BGA reflows, but I was a bit over my head trying to find what broke and these people managed to do it. And with my data chips soldered in, I know they got the same board working again, and am amazed at their skill as an IT pro company. They don't just swap components, THEY FIX THEM! That is something extremely rare to find, and worse, most of the time it's more expensive. This company is beyond amazing, and I can't think of a better use of my money to support a company that sponsors actually repairing rather than replacing, and does it so well. So happy someone recommended this place. They charged me half of what Apple quoted me for a small spill on my MacBook Air. And although they said it would take 7-10 days, they emailed to say my computer was ready in 2. It's literally running like its brand new. I'm so grateful! The staff is fabulous! The guy who takes the computers is super friendly and helpful. And the front desk guy who quotes you is knowledgeable, fast, and cute. Im so excited to have saved $400. I'll be much more careful from now on. And God willing I won't have to come back.

Spilled smoothie on a brand new two week old Airbook. Apple repair was going to be $1100. Bought new Airbook but couldn't throw out damaged one. A few months later learned of Rossmann Group through You Tube video. They fixed for $350. My son now has an Airbook that has been perfect for 2 years.

Still in shock!! Rossmann Repair Group is AMAZING! Was planning to toss out our MacBook Air after a small water spill rendered it useless -- would have been more than it originally cost to repair through Apple. But, seriously, in the space of ONE WEEK, this company had it evaluated, quoted, repaired AND shipped back to me, all for about 20% of what Apple planned to charge. Did I mention superior communication and customer service, on top of computer repair skills?! We're so grateful! So glad we ran across Rossmann Repair Group in a Google search! :) Thank you!

I love this place SO much. I unfortunately spilled about 16oz of water across my keyboard (with protector) on my MacBook Pro 2015, and did everything I could immediately to try and save it- wiped it down, turned it off, turned it upside down and brought it to be cleaned soon as the computer repair store across the street from me was open the next day. The technician there said it was really promising and would call me in about an hour. He held onto my computer for nearly a week and said it was not worth the repair. That he could try to replace the logic board- but that would be $600+ and may need more parts. I called an Apple approved repair shop in a neighboring town and they said they couldn't repair it because the logic board for this model wasn't even available to them and to just buy a refurbished or used one online for $600-$800. I did some research and found Rossmann Repair Group and decided to give them a try after talking with someone over the phone to get an estimate and confirmation that they would accept mail-ins and also not charge if they couldn't fix it which seemed totally worth it compared to the other options I found. I followed the form online, sent it in, and received a timely quote for $250 ($75 less than estimated over the phone!) They did the repairs I authorized and I now have my repaired computer back after 1 week! I could not recommend enough. You can even pay extra for an even speedier repair and shipping if needed. Shipped a computer 2015 MacBook pro to them for water damage logic board repair. Very good pricing compared to what Apple wanted to charge for repair.

I came here based on the Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. My 15 inch MacBook Pro laptop had been flooded with water. I realized Rossmann Repair Group is where people go after the Genius Bar. It was located a long walk away but it was worth the journey. Staff examined my laptop and asked me to come back in 30 minutes. They tried various methods to try to reduce the water stain (i.e. using a microscope to determine why there appears to be a remaining water patch, using directed heat energy in an attempt to see if that will improve the situation). Their attempts did not result in any improvement and they let me know it was not worth repairing. I was expecting a $50 to $100 'assessment fee' given they had disassembled the whole screen, were busy with the microscope/heating/etc, and then had to spend time putting it all back together. They did not charge me anything. I left a longtime supporter, knowing that if I ever have an Apple hardware issue: this is the first place I will visit.

I found out about them through Reddit and immediately felt comfortable sending my MacBook Air there with how many positive reviews they got through just Reddit. It took maybe a week and a half from the time I sent my computer to when they said it was finished and being shipped back to me! So easy, one simple transaction. I'm not so worried about spilling another water bottle on my computer anymore now that I know it can be fixed. Not saying I'm planning on it but they're great! Definitely will spread the word here in North Carolina.

Saved me from buying a new early 2015 MBP before its time was up. i didnt get to write this review at the time, as it was around the time RRG moved, and there was some issue about putting in reviews at that time. My glass of water was sitting next to the computer, and I reached for something...and knocked it over right onto the keyboard. YIkes. Anyway, I sent it to RRG and about week later, it was returned fixed. That was almost a year and a half ago, and I am writing this review on it right now. The work was done right, the price was more then fair, and this would have been unrepairable it it was up to Apple. It was completed in spite of apples refusal to supply parts. Bravo to RRG

After spilling beer on my 2020 macbook pro keyboard, I mailed my computer from St. Louis to the Rossmann Repair Group. I was surprised by how quickly they were able to look at it! They replaced my sticky keyboard and shipped it back to me less than a month after I dropped it at UPS (even with the holidays!). The keyboard is working great now, and it was a huge comfort to know that there was no damage or corrosion on the more sensitive parts of my laptop. I was hesitant about shipping off my laptop to a shop in another state, but this truly was a great and easy experience. And it was definitely miles better than paying Apple $1300 for a laptop worth $650 when there wasn't even any major damage!

Can't recommend this place enough! I'm from out of state and was referred to Rossmann repair by a friend. I spilled water all over my Apple laptop and they fixed it good as new at the fraction of the cost that Apple and another local repair place in MD wanted to do it. Easy to mail in for an estimate and they send it back in perfect condition. They stayed in great communication and got it back to me quick. If you're thinking of using this place, do it!

I spilled a spoonful of milk and cereal on my Macbook Air and two weeks later, the wifi stops working. I walked in for a diagnosis and it turned out that replacing the wifi card twice didn't work. One of his employees told me that something was wrong with the logic board and it'd be $325. I accepted this, knowing Apple would have charged me twice the price most likely.Two days later, I get a call in the morning that my machine is ready for pickup. I get there and ask the guy how much it'd be and he told me they won't actually charge me, and instead asked for a good tip. I left $40 in the tip jar. So there you go folks. 40 bucks for what would have cost hundreds at Apple. Skip the Apple Store and take your machine to Rossmann.
