MacBook Water Damage Repair - Liquid Spills & More

My MacBook Air got dropped in a body of water and stopped turning on. After getting a consult from a different group, they referred me here as they didn't have the right parts to extract the data from my hard drive. Initial consult took maybe 5-10 minutes of waiting before they told me they would be able to extract the data and move it to a new location (which ended up being my new MacBook Pro) for $100. This was versus the $750 Apple was quoting me and they would need me to ship my laptop to them (no thanks). Initially told me it would take one day. The following day when I called to follow up, they mentioned it may take another day, mostly I believe because they were busy. After letting them know I needed my laptop for work they were able to accommodate me and get it done that same day. Overall, quick/easy/efficient/good price point. The only downside to their reputable nature is that they are quite busy. Fortunately for me, my issue was relatively straightforward. But for a more complex issue their turnaround time will likely be slower, so make sure you let them know your time frame and get a time quote in addition to your $$$ quote for your own planning. I would give them infinite stars if I could!!!!! Rossmann Repair Group is HONEST, reliable, efficient, and very caring. My Macbook Pro (2017) had an extremely sticky and annoying spacebar and was supposed to be eligible for Apple's free keyboard replacement service, so I took it into an Apple authorized repair shop. That shop took five days to open it after I dropped it off and then called me to say that since the internal liquid sensors went off, Apple would be charging me $1200 flat fee to make "any necessary repairs." So I took it to Rossmann and explained the situation. They first opened up the laptop and assessed the liquid damage. Rossmann assured me that there was no liquid inside the computer and everything would remain fine, they just had to replace my entire keyboard unfortunately. I planned to take the laptop home and think about it, but I turned around and brought it back to Rossmann because I figured the problem wouldn't get any better if I left it alone. They asked me to wait a few minutes in the store while they looked at it, and less than 10 minutes later came back and had fixed the stickiness by tweaking with the spacebar. Rossmann did all this for me FREE OF CHARGE. I will never go to any other computer or phone repair company.

I love this place SO much. I unfortunately spilled about 16oz of water across my keyboard (with protector) on my MacBook Pro 2015, and did everything I could immediately to try and save it- wiped it down, turned it off, turned it upside down and brought it to be cleaned soon as the computer repair store across the street from me was open the next day. The technician there said it was really promising and would call me in about an hour. He held onto my computer for nearly a week and said it was not worth the repair. That he could try to replace the logic board- but that would be $600+ and may need more parts. I called an Apple approved repair shop in a neighboring town and they said they couldn't repair it because the logic board for this model wasn't even available to them and to just buy a refurbished or used one online for $600-$800. I did some research and found Rossmann Repair Group and decided to give them a try after talking with someone over the phone to get an estimate and confirmation that they would accept mail-ins and also not charge if they couldn't fix it which seemed totally worth it compared to the other options I found. I followed the form online, sent it in, and received a timely quote for $250 ($75 less than estimated over the phone!) They did the repairs I authorized and I now have my repaired computer back after 1 week! I could not recommend enough. You can even pay extra for an even speedier repair and shipping if needed. I sent 2 MacBook Pros for repair, he told me that one of them was repairable but no the other because of a failure that is common on that model, if he repaired the problem, it will happen again very soon. He was sincere and I like that, at least he explained why. Apple Store "Genius" did not look at it, did not open it or even try anything. Sad.The other laptop had water damage but now it runs like new. Price for the repair was really fair.I will send any Mac to them without hesitation. I would like to say thanks to Louis Rossmann and his team.

World-class Mac repair service. If you want it done right and fast, this is the shop. Rossmann Repair had my damaged Macbook Pro screen replaced and ready for pick up less than six hours after drop off. Prior to that, I had spilled a cup of tea on another laptop- they successfully retrieved all data. Their quiet, friendly efficiency is very much appreciated pandemic or not. Great guys and gals.

Shipped a computer 2015 MacBook pro to them for water damage logic board repair. Very good pricing compared to what Apple wanted to charge for repair.

I took my computer to Apple after it broke for apparently no reason. It just stopped working one day as I was typing, mid sentence. There had never been a spill or true water damage. At the worst, maybe I had used it outside in foggy weather a few times. I took it to Apple and they said that “according to a red sticker indicator” that it fell under liquid damage. And that there was a small part inside the computer that appeared to be liquid damage. Sounds like a scam. I tried to argue it but they were like a brick wall, and quoted my $700 to have it fixed. I brought my computer to Rossmann and they quoted me half of what Apple had quoted me, because I told them that Apple had said it was liquid damage. Then, after they looked inside and cleaned the computer and changed a few things, they decided that it was not liquid damage, and fixed the computer for FREE. Needless to say, ROSSMANN is amazing and I will never go to a Apple for a computer problem again because it is a huge scam and a ripoff!! “Genius Bar” at Apple, give me a break. Those employees are trained to rip off naive, unknowing customers!

Spilled smoothie on a brand new two week old Airbook. Apple repair was going to be $1100. Bought new Airbook but couldn't throw out damaged one. A few months later learned of Rossmann Group through You Tube video. They fixed for $350. My son now has an Airbook that has been perfect for 2 years.

What can I say other than cheers...your are an oasis in a desert of planned obsolescence! Some water damage had my MacBook Air acting up...smc non resettable, fans running constantly, then my keyboard bugged out with nonsense coming from all of its keys... Genius Bar quoted me a repair requiring an entire logic board replacement...was my 2015 Air even worth that cost anymore? There it sat, with me vacillating between the refurbished store and a 'college try' at a repair A local certified Apple repair guy WAS able to simply replace a cable, and the sensors that had failed in the logic board according to Genius Bar now worked fine, trouble was that my own inquisitive (read maladroit) nature found me breaking the battery connector off the board while monkeying around inside the Air, a repair which the local independent tried to fix without success (pads were gone he said..no joy for me). Again I was looking at logic board replacement for 'slightly' less than Genius Bar repair, or to just use it as a constantly plugged in desktop machine(???). Upon pick up at my local guy I immediately put it into the mail to Louis and the guys at Rossmann...little more than a week later I am typing this review on said formerly wet and sad MacBook Air. In fact, they even honored the lower of the two quotes I was sent! That said, there is no going back for me. My exposure to Rossmann Repair Group was initially through late night viewings of his youtube channel, whether it was the measured delivery of his absolute common sense views on 'right to repair' issues, or indeed, of the world in general, perhaps it also being a 'relaxation video' (like watching paints being swirled together or cookies being frosted) aspect of watching heated liquid flux run across a board, I honestly don't know...but I'll take it all! Bravo!

I've been following the YouTube tutorials since my family and I were in India on business. My son spilled Geteraid on my keyboard and my computer wouldn't come on after I opened it and cleaned it, laying it upside down for a week. To make the story short I took my computer to the shop while I'm in New York on business and did charged me $45.00 for a rush assessment. With in 1:45 minutes it was fixed 100% like new. MacBook Air 2013. My challenge was trusting my computer that has traveled through Europe, Southeast Asia and Latin America. Thank you Rossmann for such fast and excellent work. I will trust any of my Apple Products on to you and your staff.

Hands down the best and most reasonable priced mac repair shop (of course I would not expect anything less from Mr. Rossmann). Spilled some liquid on my Mac and fried it Dropped it off at their shop around noon and picked it up at end of day fully functioning. A+

HIGHLIGHT & CONCLUSION******Overall I'm having a good experience with this store because they have great customer services, best third party replacement parts, justify price for those replacement parts, short estimate waiting time to fix the device, 1 year warranty, and good prediction of pricing and the device life conditions whether it can fix it or not.******* **Please read the whole ranting comments!!!!!!**This Repair Shops is the best, same as Louis Rossmann YouTube channel. *I know that Rosemann Repair Group doesn't offer "Original Apple parts" for those replacement but they offers the best quality NEW parts for those replacement, honestly I don't care either is original or not as long I'm able to use my iPhone 6s Plus*. All parts that the Rossmann Repair Group offers is mostly NEW from the third party. They also have great customer service and they actually told you the estimate cost of the product repairs unlike other repairs shops who don't tell you untill they perform a diagnostic and they also charge you a extreme expensive fees such as just opening the phone without any repairs fees and they mostly offer the cheap quality parts for those replacement. Today August 12, 2019 I bring my iPhone 6s Plus that won't turn ON, I'm mostly know what is the problem so I tell them my issue and what I'm thinking is the cause because basically my iPhone didn't water damage, my iPhone just randomly stop turning ON after I play a game on the phone and the low battery sign show up than I plugged into a charger to charge up but after 2 hour I still don't see my screen ON so I had done some research online and what I'm come out is basically 3 major reason might causing my device of not turning ON. 1 might be the battery too old and can't handle any high voltage anymore. 2 might be the screen LCD. And the third I'm very afraid that this is my issue and that is the logic board, a logic board replacement it almost cost like a brand new phone.*Even though Rossmann Repair Group replacement parts isn't original, at the same time it doesn't even matter because my device is already old enough*COMPARED WITH APPLE, APPLE PROBABLY HAVE ORIGINAL PARTS FOR THOSE REPLACEMENT BUT IS NOT GUARANTEE THAT WHETHER THOSE PARTS ARE "NEW" OR EVEN DOESN'T GUARANTEE THAT THEY GOTTA FIX IT FOR YOU. THEY MY REPLACE THE ENTIRE DEVICE FOR A HIGHER PRICE OE FORCING YOU TO BUY A NEW GENERATION IPHONE. APPLE ALSO MIGHT CHARGE YOU FOR JUST GETTING LOOK INSIDE OF YOU DEVICE. FINALLY, APPLE MIGHT LET YOU WAIT FOR 3-5 WEEKS OR EVEN THE WHOLE MONTHS. That is even better than a great customer service, is very very great customer service. That what I call the extreme customer service who take their jobs into the next level. "FUNNY STAFF"I know Louis is a YouTuber and need to edit sound, video, lighting, camera angle, etc but Louis take his video/audio editing into the next level by playing his staff recorded voice in the loud speaker. They have good communication skills with customer, the front Landy and the young men have very fun expression with customer.

Very friendly, thorough, easy to get in touch with, and respond quickly in addition to fantastic work. I ended up spilling some water on my Macbook Pro that wasn't even a year old at the worst time possible (when I needed my laptop and the things on it most). I went to Apple and they quoted me $1400 and an additional 500$ for data recovery regardless of whether or not it was needed. Naturally, my things don't even get damaged in the same way other laptops do and my logic board was done for. Louis took a quick look at it the day I brought it in and said that the hard drive doesn't seem to be affected (something apple wanted to charge me $500 for). They kept in contact with me every step of the way. They got me a great price to replace the board and trackpad for half of what Apple wanted. Thank you, Louis and Steve. I hope I don't have to be the one to bring anything else to you guys, but if I do, I know where to go. Will definitely refer people. I'm also really enjoying the YouTube channel. Thanks again!

Nice Honest business. Apple told me it would be $1,600 to fix my laptop due to spilled water without touching it. Brought it here and was quoted $450. Luckily it was a smaller repair and walked or passing under$200. Was a little dustier than when I left it, and they took care of it before I left.
