Macbook spill damage is serious because it corrodes sensitive electronic components, but it’s not unfixable. At Apple, you will hear quotes of $750 to $1600 to repair Macbook water damage. Their claim will be that they must replace the entire board with an overpriced tier 3 or tier 4 repair. The reality is that they are not interested in getting their hands dirty fixing the totally reusable parts you already have: it’s easier for them to gouge your wallet by replacing everything.

macbook water damage repair

As soon as you get liquid in your Macbook you should stop using it. Turning it on will just make it worse as this allows electricity to flow through shorted wet components causing it to look like the board in the picture below. Even when the damage is this extensive we can repair it, but it is best to minimize damage so we have a higher likelihood of fixing your board in a reasonable timeframe.

When you come to Rossmann’s, WE fix it!

What sets Rossmann Repair Group apart? Most companies must outsource component-level motherboard repair because they don’t know how to do it or they don’t have the necessary tools. With Rossmann Group, the buck stops here. We repair your Macbook, we repair your logic board, and you only deal with us. Our company has helped instruct thousands of other repair technicians on how to perform these repairs via free YouTube contentguides, and personal instruction

5 star ratingI'm writing with yet another update. My repair from years ago -- a very, very nasty tea spill -- still stands. I have also moved on to a more durable, and productive, Lenovo ThinkPad.

I had spilled coffee on my MacBook Pro and I took it to a repair company near where I live. Worrying about what could be wrong, I stumbled across one of Louis' videos. I was impressed about what I had listened to, I went and picked up my computer and shipped it from Kansas. It was during the holidays and I am sure the anticipation of wanting it completed and when it actually was didn't help. However, Steve was a gem and did communicate with me when I inquired via email or by phone. I am impressed by the price of the logic board repair and their expertise. It was worth the time and effort to send this to Rossman Group. I am glad my computer is back home and I am able to continue using it. Again, thank you Rossman Group for a job well done.

5 star ratingNice Honest business. Apple told me it would be $1,600 to fix my laptop due to spilled water without touching it. Brought it here and was quoted $450. Luckily it was a smaller repair and walked or passing under$200. Was a little dustier than when I left it, and they took care of it before I left.

5 star ratingHIGHLIGHT & CONCLUSION
******Overall I'm having a good experience with this store because they have great customer services, best third party replacement parts, justify price for those replacement parts, short estimate waiting time to fix the device, 1 year warranty, and good prediction of pricing and the device life conditions whether it can fix it or not.*******

**Please read the whole ranting comments!!!!!!**

This Repair Shops is the best, same as Louis Rossmann YouTube channel. *I know that Rosemann Repair Group doesn't offer "Original Apple parts" for those replacement but they offers the best quality NEW parts for those replacement, honestly I don't care either is original or not as long I'm able to use my iPhone 6s Plus*. All parts that the Rossmann Repair Group offers is mostly NEW from the third party. They also have great customer service and they actually told you the estimate cost of the product repairs unlike other repairs shops who don't tell you untill they perform a diagnostic and they also charge you a extreme expensive fees such as just opening the phone without any repairs fees and they mostly offer the cheap quality parts for those replacement. Today August 12, 2019 I bring my iPhone 6s Plus that won't turn ON, I'm mostly know what is the problem so I tell them my issue and what I'm thinking is the cause because basically my iPhone didn't water damage, my iPhone just randomly stop turning ON after I play a game on the phone and the low battery sign show up than I plugged into a charger to charge up but after 2 hour I still don't see my screen ON so I had done some research online and what I'm come out is basically 3 major reason might causing my device of not turning ON. 1 might be the battery too old and can't handle any high voltage anymore. 2 might be the screen LCD. And the third I'm very afraid that this is my issue and that is the logic board, a logic board replacement it almost cost like a brand new phone.
*Even though Rossmann Repair Group replacement parts isn't original, at the same time it doesn't even matter because my device is already old enough*

COMPARED WITH APPLE, APPLE PROBABLY HAVE ORIGINAL PARTS FOR THOSE REPLACEMENT BUT IS NOT GUARANTEE THAT WHETHER THOSE PARTS ARE "NEW" OR EVEN DOESN'T GUARANTEE THAT THEY GOTTA FIX IT FOR YOU. THEY MY REPLACE THE ENTIRE DEVICE FOR A HIGHER PRICE OE FORCING YOU TO BUY A NEW GENERATION IPHONE. APPLE ALSO MIGHT CHARGE YOU FOR JUST GETTING LOOK INSIDE OF YOU DEVICE. FINALLY, APPLE MIGHT LET YOU WAIT FOR 3-5 WEEKS OR EVEN THE WHOLE MONTHS.

HIGHLIGHT & CONCLUSION
Overall I'm having a good experience with this store because they have great customer services, best third party replacement parts, justify price for those replacement parts, short estimate waiting time to fix the device, 1 year warranty, and good prediction of pricing and the device life conditions whether it can fix it or not. But however, Louis Rossmann if you reading my review please offers a iPad, iPhone or even a iPod touch for NEW customers to sign in and fill out the form because even though you offer a check it device/tablet, the device it doesn't even work properly but however Rossmann Repair Group take theirs jobs into the next level, the staff who work in the front door repair shop take out his personal iPhone for me to register/sign in/fill out the form. That is even better than a great customer service, is very very great customer service. That what I call the extreme customer service who take their jobs into the next level.

"FUNNY STAFF"
I know Louis is a YouTuber and need to edit sound, video, lighting, camera angle, etc but Louis take his video/audio editing into the next level by playing his staff recorded voice in the loud speaker. They have good communication skills with customer, the front Landy and the young men have very fun expression with customer.

I would give them infinite stars if I could!!!!! Rossmann Repair Group is HONEST, reliable, efficient, and very caring. My Macbook Pro (2017) had an extremely sticky and annoying spacebar and was supposed to be eligible for Apple's free keyboard replacement service, so I took it into an Apple authorized repair shop. That shop took five days to open it after I dropped it off and then called me to say that since the internal liquid sensors went off, Apple would be charging me $1200 flat fee to make "any necessary repairs." So I took it to Rossmann and explained the situation. They first opened up the laptop and assessed the liquid damage. Rossmann assured me that there was no liquid inside the computer and everything would remain fine, they just had to replace my entire keyboard unfortunately. I planned to take the laptop home and think about it, but I turned around and brought it back to Rossmann because I figured the problem wouldn't get any better if I left it alone. They asked me to wait a few minutes in the store while they looked at it, and less than 10 minutes later came back and had fixed the stickiness by tweaking with the spacebar. Rossmann did all this for me FREE OF CHARGE. I will never go to any other computer or phone repair company.

5 star ratingThey are the best, they fixed my computer, which I thought it was a lost case! I spilled coffee on my MacBook Pro, it was a lot of coffee! I took it to an apple approved repair shop and they told me that it was going to cost me more than a new computer, and that I should consider it a total loss. At this point I had no warranty, I did not buy a protection plan, and the computer was only 1 year old. At least I needed to recover my data, and this apple approved place told me it was going to be $2,100. I decided to ship my laptop to the Rossmann Repair Group, and they did an amazing job communicating with me about any updates. They estimated to repair it for $700, and then told me it was only going to cost me $425. I was very happy. They shipped it back for free, and now I have my computer working "almost perfectly" (some keys are a little sticky, and the mouse pad a little sensible), but I have all my data, which I immediately saved into an external hard drive. I highly recommend them.

I had a user who spilled a latte on his 2017 15" MacBook Pro. I called around to local repair shops (Buffalo, NY) to try and get a quote to have cleaning done. One said, "Because were an Apple AASP, Apple doesn't allow us to give quotes for liquid damage repair over the phone, and we have to follow whatever Apple says we need to do, so you'll have to bring it in."Because of this I figured they'd simply want to replace all the parts that came in contact with liquid and the service would cost somewhere around 1500$.I had heard of Louis Rossmanns shop before; I myself am an IT professional and enjoy watching his videos and hearing his commentary on various topics. But I honestly never actually thought I'd send his shop something to fix. Not because I was worried about the quality of repair, or the cost, only because I never thought I'd need to ship a Mac all the way to Austin to get it fixed. But, I did.I called up Rossmann Repair, and immediately was given a very reasonable quote over the phone. After which I began the process and shipped the Mac to Rossmann Repair to be cleaned initially, and if anything else was wrong, they'd replace the keyboard and or perform board repair depending on how much damage actually occurred. In any case it was soooo much less than purchasing a new device or having an AASP work on it.Throughout the process communication was great. The ticket was updated as soon as any new information was available. In about a week I was notified that the repair was complete and all that was needed was the ultrasonic cleaning. Instead of paying 1500$ for a repair I had a mere 100$ cost for cleaning plus the amount it cost me to ship it to them! The Mac is back with its user, has the new nickname "Latte Mac", and is working just as good as before it had a latte dumped all over it.I would highly recommend anyone needing a repair on their Mac to contact Rossmann Repair because I'm sure they'll do a great job and cost so much less than an AASP. Either way, I will definitely be doing business with them again if ever I need a Mac repaired.

5 star ratingThis is my second time sending my laptop for a repair. Liquid damage the first time and this time a broken screen. They are reasonable with prices (Apple quoted me the price I paid for the laptop!!) I was nervous at first, shipping it from Wisconsin but everything worked out great both times!!!

5 star ratingTake your tech to Rossman!!! They are awesome and infinitely more helpful than going to the Apple store!! I took my water-damaged MacBook there and was met with patience and honesty. After making a quick check - in my plain sight, NOT secretly behind closed doors - to determine that my laptop could probably be repaired, they walked me through the process and the cost structure. I would pay the basic repair cost ONLY IF THEY SUCCEEDED in repairing it. Also they would keep me informed and would not proceed with anything requiring an additional cost without obtaining my approval first. I agreed to start the process and was pleasantly surprised that there was also NO UPFRONT COST! That's how fair and confident they are!I HIGHLY recommend RRG and would go there again for a repair in a heartbeat. Thank you RRG for giving me options, freedom and respecting and supporting out rights to repair. MY TECH, MY CHOICE!

I sent in my system for liquid damage. Service was great and within the timelines they detailed in their communications with me. In addition, they were honest, transparent, and patient when discussing what they found and what my repair options were. In addition, they did QC checks when the repair was done. Price was very fair and what I think would be under market rate. I will definitely be using them in the future. Thanks everyone from Rossmann Repair Group. Big fan of you all!

5 star ratingi called two reputable apple repair shops that are still open during this pandemic to fix my macbook pro which had a bit of water damage - rossman & mikey's hook up in williamsburg.i called mikey's first to ask if they could possibly give me a ballpark estimate over the phone and turnaround time. the person who answered was rude, refused to give any sort of pricing, said it would cost $80 just to look at it, and turnaround times are at least 3 weeks right now. then i called rossman's, which is twice as far from me. the person who picked up was professional, took the time to give me a range of ballpark prices depending on different possibilities, said there is no diagnostic fee, and estimated a 5-7 day turnaround.i immediately chose rossman's. the price was reasonable + accurate to what he described, and they got it fixed for me in 3 days. plus there's a warranty. i'm glad i went the extra distance to see these guys and i've already started to recommended them.
