MacBook Water Damage Repair - Liquid Spills & More

A liquid spill damaged my Apple laptop’s ability to charge. We mailed it into Rossman Repair Group, and they had contacted me within a few days with an estimate and had it back to me within the space of a month. It charges again, the trackpad is fully functional once more, and I can connect to various devices and TV screens without issue. They even replaced the 8-year old battery at my request simply because I didn’t like that it barely lasted a couple hours without needing to be charged. I am so glad I didn’t have to invest in a new laptop!

I'm in disbelief that I'm writing this from my MacBook which I had written off as totaled after a major coffee spill. Took it to a local place that didn't fix motherboards but gave me the tip for Rossman Group. Felt like a long shot mailing my laptop to NYC, but wow such a professional process at a fair price, and if they can't fix it they don't charge you. But they FIXED it. Like nothing happened fixed it, and then actually mailed it back to me. I'm so impressed and relieved, thank you Rossman Group.

My m1 macbook pro decided to take a drink of a full cup of water which resulted in a fried logic board. The team over at Rossman Repair Group managed to get my computer fully repaired and saved the computer in every way. It's like the computer never died. Fully functional, all data right where i left it. It's like it never happened. I paid the rush delivery fee to get my work computer back online faster and these guys did excellent work. My MacBook Air got dropped in a body of water and stopped turning on. After getting a consult from a different group, they referred me here as they didn't have the right parts to extract the data from my hard drive. Initial consult took maybe 5-10 minutes of waiting before they told me they would be able to extract the data and move it to a new location (which ended up being my new MacBook Pro) for $100. This was versus the $750 Apple was quoting me and they would need me to ship my laptop to them (no thanks). Initially told me it would take one day. The following day when I called to follow up, they mentioned it may take another day, mostly I believe because they were busy. After letting them know I needed my laptop for work they were able to accommodate me and get it done that same day. Overall, quick/easy/efficient/good price point. The only downside to their reputable nature is that they are quite busy. Fortunately for me, my issue was relatively straightforward. But for a more complex issue their turnaround time will likely be slower, so make sure you let them know your time frame and get a time quote in addition to your $$$ quote for your own planning. Thanks! Will definitely return (but hope I won't have to).

I spilled liquid on my laptop a few months ago and thought I was completely out and had to buy a new Macbook. My husband showed me their YouTube channel and I was shocked. We sent my laptop in, they couldn't repair a part and had to replace it completely but they fixed my laptop 100% and it's working as if it was asleep for a few months. I am SHOCKED because I thought I would have to spend $$$$ on a new laptop which I don't have the money for. SO GLAD I found the Rossmann Group and for their quick service and how quickly my laptop was mailed back to me. 5 stars for sure!

These guys are LEGIT! Don't waste your time with anyone else. I had water damage in a newer iphone and had YEARS of pics which were not backed up. I was given a cost and time estimate reflective of what was on their website. Their service exceeded the high-points of both estimates. It was definitely not a drop-in the bucket cost, but worth the service. I was notified 24 hours later that my data recovery was complete. Unfortunately, my phone was not repairable but that didn't matter much to me anyway. Great service with these guys and glad to find them locally as well. If you're not in NYC- they will coordinate with you.

Got my Mac waterspilled. Quoted me a price and said they would try and if it didn't succeed they wouldn't charge! They tried changing the cpu 3 times but unfortunately due to Apple restricting parts, they couldn't do more but still a pleasant experience and much appreciated. 10/10 would go back again for more apple needs in the future.

Can't recommend this place enough! I'm from out of state and was referred to Rossmann repair by a friend. I spilled water all over my Apple laptop and they fixed it good as new at the fraction of the cost that Apple and another local repair place in MD wanted to do it. Easy to mail in for an estimate and they send it back in perfect condition. They stayed in great communication and got it back to me quick. If you're thinking of using this place, do it!

Shipped a computer 2015 MacBook pro to them for water damage logic board repair. Very good pricing compared to what Apple wanted to charge for repair.

Turns out there had been a minor tea spill into the keyboard / trackpad area. We shipped the laptop to Rossman, which received the machine on 5/29. I hadn't heard back on 6/7, so sent a message and got a quick response that it was still being looked at. On 6/13, I got an update that the laptop seemed to be working OK and that they couldn't find anything physically wrong with it. I described the problem again and they took a longer look, this time reporting back that the keyboard was demonstrating some flakiness, but that it was passing all of their other tests and looked good under the microscope. I accepted their repair estimate to replace the keyboard ($225); they shipped the computer back on 6/22 and I received it back on 6/25. Unfortunately, on the first boot, the laptop fans came on full blast and the computer was obviously still throttling itself. I'm not certain who I spoke to when I called back, but they were very helpful, asking me to ship it back to them and that they would take care of it on the same day that they got it back. True to their word - they received it back on 6/28, identified the problem (trackpad cable), repaired the computer and shipped it out again the same day. We just received the computer back this afternoon (7/2) and it is now working beautifully. They charged nothing for the second (successful) attempt at repair. In total, we were out $275 including our shipping costs, which seems very reasonable considering we have a working laptop with a brand-new keyboard (and either a new trackpad or a new trackpad cable, not 100% clear which was replaced). Overall, communication was good. Outside of their automated system, they were not proactive in their communication but responded immediately to all phone / email inquiries and were always pleasant and polite to speak with. Their response to the initial failed repair was world-class. It took almost exactly one month from the day that they first received the machine until I had the working machine back in my hands. This is not a complaint, but rather information for others considering using them as a mail-order service. I expect that their turnaround time may vary depending on how busy they are. In any event, I am very satisfied with the outcome and would recommend them to anyone looking for a less-expensive and professional alternative to taking a broken phone or machine in to an Apple store.
