You poured a glass of water, juice, or beer into your laptop. Don’t worry – this is what we fix for a living!

MacBook Water Damage Repair - Mail it in or Come to Our Store!

You might have to leave your Macbook, but we will give you an assessment of what the liquid spill damaged, and what would need to be fixed, at no charge! If your Macbook is too far damaged to be worth repairing, you can take it back at no cost. If you are local, come to our store. If you live far away, you can always send your Macbook to us for the free estimate(click here).

Macbook spill damage is serious because it corrodes sensitive electronic components, but it’s not unfixable. At Apple, you will hear quotes of $750 to $1600 to repair Macbook water damage. Their claim will be that they must replace the entire board with an overpriced tier 3 or tier 4 repair. The reality is that they are not interested in getting their hands dirty fixing the totally reusable parts you already have: it’s easier for them to gouge your wallet by replacing everything.

macbook water damage repair

As soon as you get liquid in your Macbook you should stop using it. Turning it on will just make it worse as this allows electricity to flow through shorted wet components causing it to look like the board in the picture below. Even when the damage is this extensive we can repair it, but it is best to minimize damage so we have a higher likelihood of fixing your board in a reasonable timeframe.

liquid damage macbook repair tech

When you come to Rossmann’s, WE fix it!

What sets Rossmann Repair Group apart? Most companies must outsource component-level motherboard repair because they don’t know how to do it or they don’t have the necessary tools. This causes long delays and unexpected surprises; the person you are talking to does not work for the company repairing your Macbook.

With Rossmann Group, the buck stops here. We repair your Macbook, we repair your logic board, and you only deal with us. Our company has helped instruct thousands of other repair technicians on how to perform these repairs via free YouTube contentguides, and personal instruction

5 star ratingI came back here for the second time earlier this year when I spilled water on my brand new 2019 macbook pro 15". Right when the water spilled, I turned it off, left it open, flipped it upside down and left it there for 3 days with a fan on it. Then I took it in to have it looked at. They told me that since it's so new, they didn't have any parts for it and wouldn't for a while, but they could still take a look at it and clean it thoroughly for free. The man working on it showed me where the water had gotten and told me what he was seeing the entire time. The only thing that ended up being damaged was the screen; the whole left side was filled with water. He said it would probably stay that way, but it wouldn't hurt anything. About a month and a half later, it dried up 99% and there's only one tiny piece left of it! So it's completely damage free. Again, this is the only place I'll ever go because I know everyone here is reliable and honest and kind. :)

5 star rating2 months into a big coffee spill repair and my 2014 MacBook is running strong. Again, very pleased with the quality of service I received on a liquid damage mail in repair. They ultra sonic cleaned my board and determined no further action was needed. Amazingly affordable repair vs the alternative.

I had a user who spilled a latte on his 2017 15" MacBook Pro. I called around to local repair shops (Buffalo, NY) to try and get a quote to have cleaning done. One said, "Because were an Apple AASP, Apple doesn't allow us to give quotes for liquid damage repair over the phone, and we have to follow whatever Apple says we need to do, so you'll have to bring it in."Because of this I figured they'd simply want to replace all the parts that came in contact with liquid and the service would cost somewhere around 1500$.I had heard of Louis Rossmanns shop before; I myself am an IT professional and enjoy watching his videos and hearing his commentary on various topics. But I honestly never actually thought I'd send his shop something to fix. Not because I was worried about the quality of repair, or the cost, only because I never thought I'd need to ship a Mac all the way to Austin to get it fixed. But, I did.I called up Rossmann Repair, and immediately was given a very reasonable quote over the phone. After which I began the process and shipped the Mac to Rossmann Repair to be cleaned initially, and if anything else was wrong, they'd replace the keyboard and or perform board repair depending on how much damage actually occurred. In any case it was soooo much less than purchasing a new device or having an AASP work on it.Throughout the process communication was great. The ticket was updated as soon as any new information was available. In about a week I was notified that the repair was complete and all that was needed was the ultrasonic cleaning. Instead of paying 1500$ for a repair I had a mere 100$ cost for cleaning plus the amount it cost me to ship it to them! The Mac is back with its user, has the new nickname "Latte Mac", and is working just as good as before it had a latte dumped all over it.I would highly recommend anyone needing a repair on their Mac to contact Rossmann Repair because I'm sure they'll do a great job and cost so much less than an AASP. Either way, I will definitely be doing business with them again if ever I need a Mac repaired.

I spilled a spoonful of milk and cereal on my Macbook Air and two weeks later, the wifi stops working. I walked in for a diagnosis and it turned out that replacing the wifi card twice didn't work. One of his employees told me that something was wrong with the logic board and it'd be $325. I accepted this, knowing Apple would have charged me twice the price most likely. Two days later, I get a call in the morning that my machine is ready for pickup. I get there and ask the guy how much it'd be and he told me they won't actually charge me, and instead asked for a good tip. I left $40 in the tip jar. So there you go folks. 40 bucks for what would have cost hundreds at Apple. Skip the Apple Store and take your machine to Rossmann.

These are the ones to trust- forget apple! First of all, their email response to my inquiry was extensive and in depth. Someone really took the time to analyze my situation and give me their expert advice. I brought it in for a diagnostic and found the LCD needed to be replaced from water damage. They were extremely honest and actually advised me against fixing it (turning away business!)-that’s when you know they’re trying to help the customer. I also search elsewhere for pricing on an LCD replacement, and they are the cheapest I found. Even if they weren’t, I would still pay more to have them work on my devices. They also have 3 awesome cats for moral support. Everyone was extremely kinda and helpful. Top quality service. I will take my devices here and recommend them from now on! Thanks guys!

What can I say other than cheers...your are an oasis in a desert of planned obsolescence! Some water damage had my MacBook Air acting up...smc non resettable, fans running constantly, then my keyboard bugged out with nonsense coming from all of its keys... Genius Bar quoted me a repair requiring an entire logic board replacement...was my 2015 Air even worth that cost anymore? There it sat, with me vacillating between the refurbished store and a 'college try' at a repair A local certified Apple repair guy WAS able to simply replace a cable, and the sensors that had failed in the logic board according to Genius Bar now worked fine, trouble was that my own inquisitive (read maladroit) nature found me breaking the battery connector off the board while monkeying around inside the Air, a repair which the local independent tried to fix without success (pads were gone he said..no joy for me). Again I was looking at logic board replacement for 'slightly' less than Genius Bar repair, or to just use it as a constantly plugged in desktop machine(???). Upon pick up at my local guy I immediately put it into the mail to Louis and the guys at Rossmann...little more than a week later I am typing this review on said formerly wet and sad MacBook Air. In fact, they even honored the lower of the two quotes I was sent! That said, there is no going back for me. My exposure to Rossmann Repair Group was initially through late night viewings of his youtube channel, whether it was the measured delivery of his absolute common sense views on 'right to repair' issues, or indeed, of the world in general, perhaps it also being a 'relaxation video' (like watching paints being swirled together or cookies being frosted) aspect of watching heated liquid flux run across a board, I honestly don't know...but I'll take it all! Bravo!

5 star ratingHIGHLIGHT & CONCLUSION******Overall I'm having a good experience with this store because they have great customer services, best third party replacement parts, justify price for those replacement parts, short estimate waiting time to fix the device, 1 year warranty, and good prediction of pricing and the device life conditions whether it can fix it or not.******* **Please read the whole ranting comments!!!!!!**This Repair Shops is the best, same as Louis Rossmann YouTube channel. *I know that Rosemann Repair Group doesn't offer "Original Apple parts" for those replacement but they offers the best quality NEW parts for those replacement, honestly I don't care either is original or not as long I'm able to use my iPhone 6s Plus*. All parts that the Rossmann Repair Group offers is mostly NEW from the third party. They also have great customer service and they actually told you the estimate cost of the product repairs unlike other repairs shops who don't tell you untill they perform a diagnostic and they also charge you a extreme expensive fees such as just opening the phone without any repairs fees and they mostly offer the cheap quality parts for those replacement. Today August 12, 2019 I bring my iPhone 6s Plus that won't turn ON, I'm mostly know what is the problem so I tell them my issue and what I'm thinking is the cause because basically my iPhone didn't water damage, my iPhone just randomly stop turning ON after I play a game on the phone and the low battery sign show up than I plugged into a charger to charge up but after 2 hour I still don't see my screen ON so I had done some research online and what I'm come out is basically 3 major reason might causing my device of not turning ON. 1 might be the battery too old and can't handle any high voltage anymore. 2 might be the screen LCD. And the third I'm very afraid that this is my issue and that is the logic board, a logic board replacement it almost cost like a brand new phone.*Even though Rossmann Repair Group replacement parts isn't original, at the same time it doesn't even matter because my device is already old enough*COMPARED WITH APPLE, APPLE PROBABLY HAVE ORIGINAL PARTS FOR THOSE REPLACEMENT BUT IS NOT GUARANTEE THAT WHETHER THOSE PARTS ARE "NEW" OR EVEN DOESN'T GUARANTEE THAT THEY GOTTA FIX IT FOR YOU. THEY MY REPLACE THE ENTIRE DEVICE FOR A HIGHER PRICE OE FORCING YOU TO BUY A NEW GENERATION IPHONE. APPLE ALSO MIGHT CHARGE YOU FOR JUST GETTING LOOK INSIDE OF YOU DEVICE. FINALLY, APPLE MIGHT LET YOU WAIT FOR 3-5 WEEKS OR EVEN THE WHOLE MONTHS. HIGHLIGHT & CONCLUSIONOverall I'm having a good experience with this store because they have great customer services, best third party replacement parts, justify price for those replacement parts, short estimate waiting time to fix the device, 1 year warranty, and good prediction of pricing and the device life conditions whether it can fix it or not. But however, Louis Rossmann if you reading my review please offers a iPad, iPhone or even a iPod touch for NEW customers to sign in and fill out the form because even though you offer a check it device/tablet, the device it doesn't even work properly but however Rossmann Repair Group take theirs jobs into the next level, the staff who work in the front door repair shop take out his personal iPhone for me to register/sign in/fill out the form. That is even better than a great customer service, is very very great customer service. That what I call the extreme customer service who take their jobs into the next level. "FUNNY STAFF"I know Louis is a YouTuber and need to edit sound, video, lighting, camera angle, etc but Louis take his video/audio editing into the next level by playing his staff recorded voice in the loud speaker. They have good communication skills with customer, the front Landy and the young men have very fun expression with customer.

Now I know why you are having these many stars :)Preface : A day before Christmas, unfortunately I spilled hot tea on my macbook pro and the panic started. Having a complete newbee to apple damage, I ended up at Apple Care where I got an estimate of 1200 bucks. It was sufficient to make me faint.I lost complete hopes and felt like stranded. I searched a lot on google and found multiple sites where they claimed that they will repair it in days time. But somehow reading all stars for Rossmann, I decided to go there. All the vacations and the workload they had, it took a while to get the laptop back as it was on day 1 but they nailed Apple Care in all ways.Service : Just as heard, got it repaired in exact timeframe as it was committed (couple of days in advance actually). Amazing service and clear communication on everything. I was told to call after 3 weeks (vacations and work load as mentioned) so I decided not to call in between and they themselves called me before that time.Quality : Seems just like day 1 when I first saw my laptop.Price : I had to pay only 40% of what I was told at Apple Care.. Nailed it completely.Advise : Don't be idiot like me to spill on the liquid on your laptop. If you somehow achieve to be an idiot, land up here.Recommended for sure :)

Thankfully I found this company on YouTube and loved the owner's passion for right to repair. Their service is amazing. I sent them my laptop and had an estimate within days and the machine was returned to me within the week. A+++ - I can't speak to their service enough
