MacBook Water Damage Repair - Liquid Spills & More

Shipped a computer 2015 MacBook pro to them for water damage logic board repair. Very good pricing compared to what Apple wanted to charge for repair.

I never write reviews but I couldn't hold back! I am so happy with my decision to go to The Rossmann Group. I'm a college student and need my laptop for just about everything so when my MacBook wouldn't turn on after a spill on the keyboard, I went into panic mode. Before getting referred by a friend to Rossmann Group, I spoke with Apple and they were helpless on giving any repair information (besides a hefty price that was equivalent to the price of a brand new MacBook). After shipping my laptop in, Rossmann Group took 2 days to get back with an estimate and only 1 day for repair. They are fast, reasonable, and trustworthy. I highly recommend Rossmann Group to anyone who needs device repair and am so happy to have a working laptop again!

I came back here for the second time earlier this year when I spilled water on my brand new 2019 macbook pro 15". Right when the water spilled, I turned it off, left it open, flipped it upside down and left it there for 3 days with a fan on it. Then I took it in to have it looked at. They told me that since it's so new, they didn't have any parts for it and wouldn't for a while, but they could still take a look at it and clean it thoroughly for free. The man working on it showed me where the water had gotten and told me what he was seeing the entire time. The only thing that ended up being damaged was the screen; the whole left side was filled with water. He said it would probably stay that way, but it wouldn't hurt anything. About a month and a half later, it dried up 99% and there's only one tiny piece left of it! So it's completely damage free.

Again, this is the only place I'll ever go because I know everyone here is reliable and honest and kind. :)

What can I say? These guys are the best at what they do. I brought in a 2019 Macbook Pro that suffered from an entire beer bottle spill. At the end of all the repairs, a month later of getting it back, it kept panicking and shutting off with high cpu usage tasks. They then refunded me the repair costs since it was not able to be saved. I ended up also selling it to them for parts and now happy with my Lenovo. My two friends who I also referred are super happy with their services as well. They are also just finished a hard drive recovery and transferred the data to a new hard drive for me. Top notch service and fairness. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

They were able to check out my computer and help me get a scholarship essay that wasn't saved to the cloud when my computer got water spilled on it and wouldn't turn on. They were really kind and helpful, especially Kevin! I will definitely go back to them the next time I have issues with my tech! :)

My Mac Book Air was damaged by a water spill. I turned it on briefly, then it shut down and it would not boot up again. Knowing how damaging a liquid spill can be on a Mac Book, I reluctantly took it to the Apple Store to assess the damage. I was told at the Apple store that it would cost me at least $750.00 to have the hard drive replaced and that would be my only option. I was also encouraged to purchase a new one rather than putting that much money into it. I did not want to spend that kind of money so I went home feeling like all was lost. A local business near my home in West Chester Ohio highly recommended the Rossmann Repair Group in New York City. Reluctantly, I packed it up and sent it to this company after researching it online. I also called and talked to the owner describing the problem. He was very professional and personable. Within two weeks, I received a reply back from the owner through their website letting me know they had completed their assessment. I called again and spoke to the owner because there was no charge on the invoice. The owner said to me, "All we needed to do was an ultra-sonic cleaning, we cleaned a bit of gunk out of it and we don't feel like we should charge you anything". I was absolutely amazed at the integrity of this man and this company. He could have charged me hundreds of dollars for a repair, I would never have known. I HIGHLY recommend this company. It is rare that you find that level of honesty and integrity in a company. My laptop was cleaned and is now working like it were brand new. (see the photo below) All I paid this company was for shipping to return it back to me. Again, I would highly recommend this company. The Apple store will no longer be my first stop for issues concerning any of my Apple products. This guy and his company are the real deal.

HIGHLIGHT & CONCLUSION ******Overall I'm having a good experience with this store because they have great customer services, best third party replacement parts, justify price for those replacement parts, short estimate waiting time to fix the device, 1 year warranty, and good prediction of pricing and the device life conditions whether it can fix it or not.******* **Please read the whole ranting comments!!!!!!** This Repair Shops is the best, same as Louis Rossmann YouTube channel. *I know that Rosemann Repair Group doesn't offer "Original Apple parts" for those replacement but they offers the best quality NEW parts for those replacement, honestly I don't care either is original or not as long I'm able to use my iPhone 6s Plus*. All parts that the Rossmann Repair Group offers is mostly NEW from the third party. They also have great customer service and they actually told you the estimate cost of the product repairs unlike other repairs shops who don't tell you untill they perform a diagnostic and they also charge you a extreme expensive fees such as just opening the phone without any repairs fees and they mostly offer the cheap quality parts for those replacement. Today August 12, 2019 I bring my iPhone 6s Plus that won't turn ON, I'm mostly know what is the problem so I tell them my issue and what I'm thinking is the cause because basically my iPhone didn't water damage, my iPhone just randomly stop turning ON after I play a game on the phone and the low battery sign show up than I plugged into a charger to charge up but after 2 hour I still don't see my screen ON so I had done some research online and what I'm come out is basically 3 major reason might causing my device of not turning ON. 1 might be the battery too old and can't handle any high voltage anymore. 2 might be the screen LCD. And the third I'm very afraid that this is my issue and that is the logic board, a logic board replacement it almost cost like a brand new phone. *Even though Rossmann Repair Group replacement parts isn't original, at the same time it doesn't even matter because my device is already old enough* COMPARED WITH APPLE, APPLE PROBABLY HAVE ORIGINAL PARTS FOR THOSE REPLACEMENT BUT IS NOT GUARANTEE THAT WHETHER THOSE PARTS ARE "NEW" OR EVEN DOESN'T GUARANTEE THAT THEY GOTTA FIX IT FOR YOU. THEY MY REPLACE THE ENTIRE DEVICE FOR A HIGHER PRICE OE FORCING YOU TO BUY A NEW GENERATION IPHONE. APPLE ALSO MIGHT CHARGE YOU FOR JUST GETTING LOOK INSIDE OF YOU DEVICE. FINALLY, APPLE MIGHT LET YOU WAIT FOR 3-5 WEEKS OR EVEN THE WHOLE MONTHS. But however, Louis Rossmann if you reading my review please offers a iPad, iPhone or even a iPod touch for NEW customers to sign in and fill out the form because even though you offer a check it device/tablet, the device it doesn't even work properly but however Rossmann Repair Group take theirs jobs into the next level, the staff who work in the front door repair shop take out his personal iPhone for me to register/sign in/fill out the form. That is even better than a great customer service, is very very great customer service. That what I call the extreme customer service who take their jobs into the next level. "FUNNY STAFF" I know Louis is a YouTuber and need to edit sound, video, lighting, camera angle, etc but Louis take his video/audio editing into the next level by playing his staff recorded voice in the loud speaker. They have good communication skills with customer, the front Landy and the young men have very fun expression with customer.

Had my 2021 14" M1 Macbook Pro repaired after it randomly died one night (no liquid damage, no charger light). Turns out it was a logic board issue. Mailed it in and had a diagnosis in less than a week. Repair was quick and put in the mail to ship back the next business day. Communicative, fast turnaround, and fair pricing. Cheaper and faster than if I sent it in to Apple (don't have applecare). Plus they make the return box near bulletproof. I could punt it and there wouldn't even be a scuff on the laptop. Fingers crossed no more issues will come up, but will use them again in the future if they do.

My MacBook Air got dropped in a body of water and stopped turning on. After getting a consult from a different group, they referred me here as they didn't have the right parts to extract the data from my hard drive. Initial consult took maybe 5-10 minutes of waiting before they told me they would be able to extract the data and move it to a new location (which ended up being my new MacBook Pro) for $100. This was versus the $750 Apple was quoting me and they would need me to ship my laptop to them (no thanks). Initially told me it would take one day. The following day when I called to follow up, they mentioned it may take another day, mostly I believe because they were busy. After letting them know I needed my laptop for work they were able to accommodate me and get it done that same day. Overall, quick/easy/efficient/good price point. The only downside to their reputable nature is that they are quite busy. Fortunately for me, my issue was relatively straightforward. But for a more complex issue their turnaround time will likely be slower, so make sure you let them know your time frame and get a time quote in addition to your $$$ quote for your own planning. Thanks! Will definitely return (but hope I won't have to).

Amazing repair service. My Macbook Air 2015 had water damage from me being tired and knocking over Poland Springs Sparkling Lemon Water. It was a logic board fix for $250. My repair was finished in 2 days which I was surprised and grateful for as I thought it would take a much longer time to fix. Going in, I think customers need to expect that there is a chance that their product may not be fixed depending on how severe damage is. I think what really made me have a wow feeling was how organized the process was. Basically, you go in, they inspect your computer internal and then quote you a price only if they are able to fix it. Their website is very useful on getting updates from the technicians. The front desk person (Kevin?) was very effective at getting things done in an efficient yet polite way.

Hands down the best and most reasonable priced mac repair shop (of course I would not expect anything less from Mr. Rossmann). Spilled some liquid on my Mac and fried it Dropped it off at their shop around noon and picked it up at end of day fully functioning. A+

I'm writing with yet another update. My repair from years ago -- a very, very nasty tea spill -- still stands. I have also moved on to a more durable, and productive, Lenovo ThinkPad.

Twice was saved by Rossmann Repair. First it was liquid damaged MacBook Air, now Iphone SE 2020 who conveniently, after 1 year manufacturer warranty ran out, threw vertical stripes over the screen. Very reasonable repair pricing. Both times used mail in option, since parking nearby is “mission impossible”.

Spilled water on my MacBook Air keyboard, decided to send it in, and had it back on my doorstep full functional within a week and a half. They gave me a free quote and even payed for the return shipping. Over all it was a great experience, and I will be sure to utilize their services if I ever need them again in the future. Awesome company, awesome people.
