It's no secret why I decided to leave New York after living there for 32 years & doing business there for over a decade. New York has:

1. Tried to revoke a business license for nonpayment that I had paid in full 10 months prior.
2. Placed a lien & warrant on my business in 2016, for an unpaid tax bill from 2012 - that I had paid in full, and sent all correspondence to an unassociated PO Box in Berwick Maine, so that I would never know about it. 
3. Claimed I owed over half a million dollars in unpaid taxes, only to find out that I didn't, and that my error rate was one tenth of one percent. 
4. Fined me for noncompliance with a regulation they can't explain how to be in compliance with.
5. Wasted four hours on the phone because their payment system for the fine they levied on me didn't work & the court officer had "never done this before"

The list goes on...

I made the decision to leave, and start Rossmann Repair Group over in a new place. Six of my past technicians, managers, and staff honored me with their decision to move across the country with me. Unfortunately, I had to leave behind some of the amazing people who were not able to move with me. This was a difficult decision to make. Some of my employees with familial obligations who were not able to make the move were left behind. These were very capable technicians.

For obvious reasons, I do not want to have my name on a business in New York City, or New York State, ever again. Phoebe's Mac Repair in NYC is not my business, and it is not associated with my business - but it's run & staffed by some of the same people that made my business great over the years. I would suggest you check them out if you are local to NYC & in need of a repair. 

When I moved across the country, I was lucky enough to retain many of my technicians & customer service staff who make this company great. Phoebe's Mac Repair in NYC is a repair shop staffed by, owned by, and run by, the technicians who were not able to move with me, who stayed in NYC. This is not my company, and it is not affiliated with Rossmann Repair Group - but it is run by the people who helped make Rossmann Repair Group great over the years, and I wish them the best of luck & success in all of their endeavors!
