Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by Rossmann Repair Group ("we," "our," or "us"), including electronics repair, data recovery, and related services. By using our services or submitting a device for repair, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services. For questions about these Terms, please contact us before proceeding.
Services We Provide
We offer the following services:
- Component-level electronics repair (MacBooks, iPhones, iPads, and other devices)
- Data recovery from hard drives, SSDs, RAID arrays, flash media, and mobile devices
- Liquid damage repair and corrosion removal
- Diagnostic services and technical consultation
- Mail-in repair and recovery services
All services are performed in-house at our Austin, TX facility by trained technicians.
Free Diagnostics and Estimates
No Diagnostic Fees: We provide free diagnostic services and estimates. If we determine your device cannot be repaired economically or that repair is not feasible, you pay nothing except return shipping costs for mail-in services.
You authorize us to open and inspect your device to diagnose issues. We will contact you with an estimate before proceeding with billable work.
Pricing and Payment
Pricing
- Pricing is available on our pricing page and is subject to change
- Quoted prices are estimates and may vary based on diagnosis findings
- We will obtain your approval before performing work that exceeds the quoted estimate
- Complex repairs may require additional labor charges disclosed upfront
No Data = No Charge Policy
Data Recovery Guarantee: For data recovery services, if we cannot recover your data, you pay nothing except return shipping. This applies to failed recovery attempts only—not to user cancellations or refusals of quoted prices.
Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion of services
- We accept credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods as indicated
- Devices will not be returned until payment is received in full
- For mail-in services, we will contact you for payment before return shipping
Warranties and Guarantees
Repair Warranty
Most repairs include a 1-year warranty covering the specific repair performed. Some repairs carry a 3-month warranty based on component availability and repair complexity. Warranty terms will be specified in your service estimate.
Warranty Exclusions
Warranties do not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or accidents after repair
- Liquid damage or corrosion not present at time of original repair
- Unauthorized repairs or modifications by third parties
- Normal wear and tear, battery degradation, or cosmetic issues
- Issues unrelated to the original repair performed
Data Recovery Services
Data recovery services do not include a warranty. Once data is successfully recovered and verified, the service is complete. We are not responsible for data loss after the device is returned to you.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Device Value: Our liability for damage to your device during service is limited to the fair market value of the device at the time of service, not to exceed $2,000, unless you purchase additional insurance coverage
- Data Loss: We are not liable for data loss, corruption, or inability to recover data. Data recovery carries inherent risks, and we cannot guarantee successful recovery
- Consequential Damages: We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, business interruption, or loss of use
- Pre-Existing Conditions: We are not liable for pre-existing damage or defects not disclosed at time of service
Important: Before sending your device, back up your data if possible. Data loss can occur during repair or recovery attempts. We strongly recommend maintaining regular backups of important data.
Customer Responsibilities
By using our services, you agree to:
- Backup Data: Back up all important data before submitting devices (when possible)
- Remove Locks: Disable Find My iPhone, iCloud locks, passwords, and encryption when possible to facilitate testing
- Accurate Information: Provide accurate descriptions of issues and disclose all known damage
- Legal Ownership: Confirm you are the legal owner of the device or have authorization to have it serviced
- Prohibited Content: Ensure devices do not contain illegal content. We will report illegal content to authorities
- Timely Response: Respond to our communications within 30 days to avoid abandonment fees
Abandoned Devices
Devices are considered abandoned if:
- You fail to respond to our communications for 30 consecutive days
- You fail to arrange payment or return shipping within 60 days of service completion
Abandoned devices may be disposed of or sold to recover storage costs and unpaid service fees. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before taking such action.
Shipping and Risk of Loss
For mail-in services:
- You bear the risk of loss during inbound shipping to our facility
- We bear the risk of loss during return shipping to you
- We strongly recommend insuring valuable devices during shipping (see our shipping guidelines)
- Return shipping costs are your responsibility for devices deemed unrepairable
Privacy and Data Protection
We take your privacy seriously. Your data will be:
- Accessed only to the extent necessary to perform services
- Kept confidential and not disclosed to third parties
- Securely deleted within 30 days of service completion
- Protected by industry-standard security measures

Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Rossmann Repair Group or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without explicit written permission.
Independent Service Provider
Important Notice: Rossmann Repair Group is an independent service provider and is not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Apple Inc., Samsung, or any other manufacturer of devices we service.
Using our services may void manufacturer warranties. We recommend checking your warranty status before proceeding with third-party repair. In many cases, our transparent approach and component-level expertise provides advantages over manufacturer programs.
Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service in the following circumstances:
- The device contains illegal content or was obtained illegally
- The repair is beyond our technical capabilities or is unsafe to perform
- The customer has violated these Terms in the past
- The customer engages in abusive, threatening, or harassing behavior
Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
Informal Resolution
If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first. We commit to working in good faith to resolve issues informally.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
