We’ve repaired thousands of boards. We teach from an everyman’s perspective, not an engineer’s, and will work with you on the Macbook boards you bring in. You’ll get to see what is and isn’t economical to repair, how we handle real problems on real boards. I will be working with you on my daily queue, which is always a slew of destroyed logic boards. You will see how we handle tickets in an actual store that pays its rent and staff off of logic board repairs; not pretend in an alternate environment. The customers dropping these items off will be within an ear’s reach of my office you will be working in. You will also be given boards to work on from my collection and I will involve you in the diagnostic process, answering your questions as I go.

Shortcuts past the time-wasting mistakes.

There are many common mistakes that everyone makes entering this field. There’s virtually no information on the internet besides what I have provided; I want to go through these mistakes with you. More importantly, I want you to make those mistakes HERE so you don’t make them at your business where they will cost you time, money, and sanity.

Problem-solving expertise from a working professional who does this for a living.

Many repair classes and education programs are taught by underqualified generalists who lack real-world experience.

The companies teaching board repair that know what they are doing are often very broadly focused, with little you can apply to our profession. You’ll see lots of focus on perfect soldering techniques, which doesn’t help you diagnose real world problems. Proper soldering is one thing, but there is much more to board repair than learning how to solder. How do you figure out why something isn’t charging, or isn’t displaying an image, or isn’t turning on when the connector isn’t damaged? How do you figure out which components are at fault when none of them look damaged? This instruction is missing from every program I have researched.

I want you to learn the ins and outs of how to do what we do: component-level repair of Apple laptop logic boards, so that you can enhance your existing business and make a better living from it.

I am honest about this. Some have the mindset required to do well at this. Some will figure out, quickly, that this is not for them. Not everyone is going to wind up being good at this. If the thought of this scares you; I would suggest thinking twice before signing up. I am not going to lie & BS you with the idea that anyone can do this, or that everyone will enjoy doing this work.

A few things required:

  • Analytical mindset.
  • Willingness to jump to conclusions based on logical reasoning, then test if your conclusion is true.
  • Not being afraid to be wrong.
  • Ability to learn from mistakes and self-modify behavior.

When it comes to soldering, I can only do so much – at some point you will have to realize what works and does not work and correct your own hands.

This is to fill the gaps, not to get you to where I am inside of 5 days. You should work at a business doing this or have a business doing this, where you have built up a client base.

If you are at a point where you’ve lost your job, need to pay the mortgage, and want to spend your last $1000 with me because you think it will fix everything: THIS IS NOT FOR YOU! There are MUCH better ways to spend that last $1000. I have been there and will tell you, this will not fix it. It takes lots of time to build momentum and a client base. A client base willing to spend money will not show up just because you come to this tutoring.

You should have boards to bring.

Working on real boards is at the core of this course. We can work on my stuff, but that can run out, which is why it will be helpful if you bring boards to fix. If you have no boards to bring, you shouldn’t book this course.
